Our Story

Nadia and Bronwyn are Occupational Therapists who have dedicated their careers to supporting individuals and families experiencing mental health challenges. Together they bring over three decades of collective experience providing mental health care. Nadia and Bronwyn’s paths first crossed in 2014 while working together on the inpatient mental health units at Health Sciences Centre. They quickly discovered a shared passion for mental health, a strong connection through their values, and a belief in the importance of compassionate, collaborative care.

During their time at Health Sciences Centre, Nadia and Bronwyn developed and incorporated Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) informed approaches into their work with both adults and children and adolescents. Through this experience, they witnessed firsthand the impact that DBT skills can have in helping people better understand and regulate their emotions, navigate relationships, cope with difficult moments, and build lives that feel meaningful and fulfilling.

Their shared passion for working with adolescents and families, combined with their belief in the power of skills-based therapy, ultimately led them to open Middle Path Therapy in 2020.

Today, Middle Path Therapy continues to be grounded in the same values that brought Nadia and Bronwyn together: connection, compassion, collaboration, and the belief that people have the capacity to grow, learn new skills, and create meaningful change in their lives.
