Middle Path Therapy offers evidence based, collaborative, goal oriented services to help adolescents and young adults create meaningful change in their lives.
Services
Middle Path Therapy provides therapy services for adolescents and young adults & their families who have difficulty managing mood or anxiety and/or struggle with regulating emotions and tolerating stress. Individual therapy sessions and groups are informed by Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and are facilitated by occupational therapists, each with over a decade of mental health experience and DBT core clinical training. Our clinicians are occupational therapists who are registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM)

Our intake sessions are designed for new clients who are interested in engaging in DBT therapy. During the initial intake session, we meet with clients and their caregivers and will conduct a comprehensive DBT program assessment, provide an orientation to the treatment model, and offer personalized treatment recommendations based on your unique needs and goals.
Fees: The cost for an intake session is $145.00 for a 50-minute session.

Individual DBT therapy involves weekly or biweekly sessions that focus on addressing unhelpful behaviors. Our individual DBT therapists have undergone DBT Core Clinical Training and participate in weekly Consultation Team Meetings.
Our individual therapy sessions are collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping you create meaningful change in your life. Together, we’ll work toward the goals that are important to you, while building practical skills to help you navigate difficult emotions, relationships, and everyday challenges.
Sessions may include exploring patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviours through behavioral chain analysis, reviewing diary card tracking, and learning new DBT skills. Our goal is to help you better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and develop the skills you need to move toward a life that feels more meaningful and fulfilling.
Fees: The fees for individual therapy range from $145.00-$155.00 per 50-minute session.

Our DBT Skills Group provides adolescents and young adults aged 14-21 and their caregivers with practical skills to better understand emotions, manage difficult moments, strengthen relationships, and navigate everyday challenges. Groups are held Monday evenings from 6:00-7:30.
Groups are offered weekly in six-week blocks. Each block includes Mindfulness along with one additional DBT skills module:
Distress Tolerance – learning how to cope with difficult emotions and challenging situations
Emotion Regulation – understanding emotions and developing skills to manage them more effectively
Walking the Middle Path – finding balance, flexibility, and effective ways to navigate differences and conflict
Interpersonal Effectiveness – building stronger relationships and communicating more effectively
Completing four consecutive six-week blocks provides a comprehensive 24-week DBT
skills training program, covering all five core skill areas.
Requirements for Participation: Adolescents participating in the skills group must also be receiving individual therapy with a primary mental health clinician.
One consistent primary caregiver is required to attend each skills group alongside the adolescent. This shared participation is an important part of helping families practice and apply DBT skills outside of group.
Fees:$170.00 per 90-minute skills group
$1,020.00 per six-week skills training blockAn additional fee applies if two caregivers would like to participate alongside their adolescent.
